In 2016, Mike along with his wife Linda, established Seniors Prefer Homecare to provide companion aid to seniors in their homes as well as facilities. As a managing member, Mike takes pride in working behind the scenes in his administrative duties, supervising both locations in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa. He is dedicated to ensuring the best business practices for the staff and strives to achieve the very best care and outcomes for each and every client as well as the client’s family. He believes in having a daily written working care plan that identifies the individual needs of each client and includes specific activities to be achieved and documented daily by staff while in the client’s home.
Chris Killian, Managing Partner – Tuscaloosa
Chris Killian brings a wealth of expertise to Seniors Prefer Homecare of Tuscaloosa, with over 18 years of experience in the medical equipment industry and 8 years in the home care sector. As a senior manager with Specialized Medical Devices, a Joint Commission-accredited clinical home respiratory provider, Chris oversaw day-to-day operations for the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham markets. His extensive background in both medical equipment and home care has equipped him with the leadership skills and operational knowledge essential to delivering exceptional care and support to seniors and their families.
Linda Killian
Linda Killian, was awarded a Bachelors of Science, licensed as a Social Worker in 1983. Her past professional experiences include Whitesburg Nursing Home, LakeShore Rehab Facility and Huntsville Hospital where she took away long lasting relationships, knowledge and most of all the experiences she had working and helping patients with their transition back home. For the past 16 years she has been the Vice President of Operations of Specialized Medical Devices where she gained valuable experience setting as well as monitoring policies for the continuity of care plans for clinical respiratory patients in the home.
She has maintained her social worker License and is active member of the ASHCSW (Alabama Society of Healthcare Social Workers).
